| # | Boss | Drops | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 27 | Xie Qiudong | Everflow | Heal-reflection loop — hit the adds, not him |
| 28 | You Loong | You Loong’s Deluge | Low difficulty, first of his two fights |
| 29 | Chang Hong | Thunder Spear | Two phases, paralysis meter, hardest in the region |
| 30 | Soulclaimer | Parting Hooks | Counter stance; otherwise flat |
The 鬼差 trio share a family
Blaze, Cavalrybane and Soulclaimer are all 鬼差 (Ghost Wardens), and their polearm-and-mount attacks read from the same template. Learning Blaze properly makes Cavalrybane faster, and both prepare you for Soulclaimer’s counter stance.
That family grouping does not exist in the four-class system (Masters / Maskwalkers / Perfect Transcensions / Puppets) — the 鬼差 are split across Perfect Transcensions and unclassified entries. It is a useful practical grouping anyway: they move alike.
Cavalrybane is also an accessory
The boss drops Armybreaker. Two regions earlier there is an accessory also called Cavalrybane (+25% damage to mounted enemies). Different item, same name, different region.
If you are looking for the accessory, it is in a Crimson Forest chest, not here. Full breakdown →
What escalates here
Pengzhen is where the game stops teaching. Three shifts:
- Multi-enemy pressure. Bi Hai’s monk waves were a preview; Xie Qiudong is built entirely around adds.
- Unavoidable damage. Chang Hong’s paralysis and Flame’s fire both punish standing in the wrong place rather than mistiming a parry.
- Phase reversals. Chang Hong remounts, Flame becomes a pole-top fireball duel. Neither stays a normal duel.
The drops scale with it: every weapon in this region except Xie Qiudong’s healing item is a Phantom Edge or a main-hand, and Armybreaker is the only one that changes how you move.
Notes
- Gu Wanyue’s drop is a Fanatic’s Fragment, not a weapon — it feeds the same upgrade line as Bai Chilian’s Fragment.
- Armybreaker’s switch-in rush is the reason to do Cavalrybane even if the fight is easy.
- The five late-region fights are all in the same map. Clear the bells as you pass; several have no fast travel point near the arena.
