The 50 comes from director Qiwei "Soulframe" Liang, who told 4Gamer in October 2026 that all 30 main weapons and roughly 20 Phantom Edges are earned by defeating a boss, so the roster has to be at least as large as the arsenal, and "there might be even more." Post-launch counts agree on the range but not on the figure: Wccftech's review counted "over 50," while region-by-region trackers have catalogued 54 named fights across the game's nine regions as of October 30, 2026. That 54 counts fights, not unique bosses — You Loong, The Hunt and The Gold-Masked One are each fought more than once, and duo encounters such as Iron Fiend and Jade Dancer join an existing fight instead of getting their own. Steam's achievement list names only 25 of them, so 25 is not the answer.
